It is a beautiful thing, this life we live. And when Heavenly Father is included in one's life, the meaning is enriched and the happiness experienced is multiplied ten-fold. Being here on earth is an opportunity to not only show our willingness to follow Heavenly Father but also find joy in living the commandments of God. It's been hard for me to grasp this concept because I don't fully understand the commandment or I don't try to understand. Another thing is finding JOY in the journey. Aiyah! It is hard to find joy in waking up to another day of work, school and stress. A dirty house, no money, no food.....depressed much?
I guess the trial is to find ways to enjoy life even when the world or others say that the situation isn't worth enjoying.
This reminds me of the 13th article of faith.
"We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous and in doing good to all men. Indeed we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul. We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things."
Also Michael shared with me the motto he followed on the mission.
As a side note:
“Peace does not mean an absence of conflict, because opposition, polarity and conflict are natural and universal laws. Peace is a way of constructively handling natural conflict.”
