Killing It

It is still February and the first item of good news I have for you is that we are officially out of the book of 3rd Nephi. Hallelujah! It was a magical moment as Micah and I read the only 2 verses in the last chapter. I had to laugh a little because its taken us about 5 months to finish this book (just 3rd Nephi that is). Now we can move onto 4th Nephi and hopefully get through the WHOLE book before the end of the year.

Micah really is just soaking it all up. I've noticed that when I read or talk to him about Jesus Christ and the gospel he looks at me and it feels like he understand me and gets it. I get scared because I don't want to say the wrong thing. But at the same time it motivates me to teach him the right things and brush up on those things that I'm not sure about (which is more than I like to admit).

In other GREAT news, Michael is going back to school. He is attempting to go back for the Spring semester which makes me super super excited. I mean this guy is on a diet and killing it- he has lost 20 lbs already- and then he is getting everything in order to go back. I mean I'm just like "Who is this guy and can he stay forever!?". I am so proud of Michael. He has worked so hard to do what he is doing now and he is just flying.

Life right now is good. I mean, yeah our car is in the shop again and yeah it is going to cost more money, but hey we are all healthy and still able to get to work and the store with help from our friends. I mean it's not exactly smooth riding but that don't phase me. I have a happy family and we're making it and, in Michael's case, we are KILLING IT.

Gotta take those small victories and run with it.

Retro post- February week 1

So today, Saturday, we had the wonderful opportunity to experience a Summer's day. It was wonderful- we had sun and 56 degree weather (at least that's what I think it was). But man it was so nice- cos all the snow melted and we could take Micah outside. It was just beautiful. I think when Summer is finally here that little bubbah will be barefoot and shirtless, running in the grass and soaking in as much sun as he can. At least I know that's what I'd want to do (minus the shirtless-ness).

Onto more current events- last night (Friday) we built a pillow fort under the kitchen table. It was so much fun; all my mad skills from my katchi days came back and I was tying knots and arranging chairs like a pro :). Micah had eyes as big as beach balls. He was so excited; it was kinda amazing. We attempted to watch The Lion King in our fort but the bubbah would not have any of that. He attacked that computer like a how I chase chocolate cake- desperately. Too funny this kid. but we opted to watch cartoons on TV instead. Then when it was time to go sleep he fought it and refused. When he finally did find sleep he couldn't because his two front teeth are cutting and I guess since they are bigger and coming in at the same time it's driving him nuts- he screamed all night and couldn't get much if any sleep. It was hard to watch and hard to stay up with him. Michael has the magic touch and after he rocked him for a while, bubbah was sound asleep. What would I do without Michael? Fail, that's what I'd do.

I gotta say life is going- sometimes great and sometimes not so great but all in all it's been going and I am grateful for that. I know that situations could be worse so I'll take what I can and I'll love it!

Also- just so you all know, Michael started a youtube channel showcasing the bubbah and all his quirks. Michael has been trying out this video editing thing and he is getting better everyday. Plus the grandparents love it.

Anyway, people you all enjoy your night/ day/ afternoon- enjoy your life!
