To the sweetest angels in the world

Two weeks and 1 day!!! I just want to celebrate every time that I think, "I'm an a Aunty!". It's been an awesome and amazing two weeks. So many things have been learned and I am loving every minute of it. As far as I know Mommy and Daddy have been awesome parents and go down almost 2wice everyday to be with the boys. They are doing an amazing job. In fact they got to carry the boys this past week. These two blessings, Iolakona and Ikaika, are growing fast. They are off IV's and will soon be independent little tykes.

Iolakona and Ikaika
Your family loves you so much. Especially your parents! They are with you all the time and want the absolute best for you. Believe me PC and Jordan...yeah they got this parental thing down! You are really lucky to be with them and they probably count themselves really lucky to be able to have you. This place, earth, it's pretty scary but you got your family and most importantly the gospel.

We love having you with us....!!!!! Can't wait to change some diapers and spoil you to the core. hee hee

I love you my little nephews, with all the love an Aunty can muster.

Disturb us, Lord, when
We are too well pleased with ourselves,
When our dreams have come true
Because we have dreamed too little,
When we arrived safely
Because we sailed too close to the shore.

Disturb us, Lord, when
With the abundance of things we possess
We have lost our thirst
For the waters of life;
Having fallen in love with life,
We have ceased to dream of eternity
And in our efforts to build a new earth,
We have allowed our vision
Of the new Heaven to dim.

Disturb us, Lord, to dare more boldly,
To venture on wider seas
Where storms will show your mastery;
Where losing sight of land,
We shall find the stars.

We ask You to push back
The horizons of our hopes;
And to push into the future
In strength, courage, hope, and love.

I think this is the theme of my life. Satisfaction should not come from the success of a small dream; it should come from the pursuit of the biggest, darest and wildest vision. Venture tot he unknown and make your mark on the world. Dream big and Work hard.

From Michael, To Mabel

Mabel,

For the last few days I have been reading our conversations from the day I got back from my mission. As I read I found many things that I laugh about and thought to myself "What was I thinking?" I see that I knew what I wanted. I knew that I was suppose to be with you. The Holy Ghost was working hard to help me understand what I needed to do to get you to fall in love with me. I am still working on that part! I am excited to marry you December 27th. I really do not know how to express how excited I am. You mean so much to me and I love thinking about how long we are going to be together. I love working with you and trying different things to strengthen our relationship. I love spending like...all of my time with you. For those reading...you must know that I love my Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. "And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment." Mark 12:30. You must also know that my love for Mabel Kawehionapua Solomone is closer to my love for God than any other person in this world. I am grateful to have a faithful companion to stand by my side in this life and throughout the eternities.

Marriage vs Wedding

Aghhh!! This week has been the fastest slow week ever. Today is Wednesday and gratefully it is one more day closer to being Mrs. Peak (awkward) but also one day closer to monster wedding from HEO....:( (screened for parentals and minors sake) Anyway, in all the commotion of life and love and family, the wedding has been thrown to the dogs (this is mostly self-inflicted). I think my desires for cute centerpieces, flowy draping decorations, yummy cakes, elegant bridesmaids and perfect wedding favors has officially left the building. Dead and buried are those ideas and vain ambitions.

Now all that can be thought is, Temple/TVA/Graduation/Family/Graduate school (for the both of us)/Children/ Job/ Money.......LIFE!!!

What of decorations and food and invitations??? What of temporary things that don't last as long as we want them to?
Take a picture of a cute reception! Photoshop yourself in and dream up your perfect reception. Why?! Well you get everything you really wanted at the cost of $5 (the glue I need to buy to stick all the pretty pictures on my old presentation poster)

Behind all this I guess the reality is that weddings are cute and beautiful beginnings, but that's all they really are.....beginnings. Where you start doesn't affect where you finish. It's all in the in betweens, the journey, the climb (as Miley Cyrus so elegantly put it), the walk....it's what you do to get there and the how in getting there....if that is done right then you shall surely get there...where ever there may be for you.

For Michael and I, I'm pretty sure it's God-status, its eternal families, its endless joy and happiness.

Basic truth: Eat chocolate

Sorry I have not posted in a while guys. Life has definitely been super hectic since I last wrote. As you can see below, THE BOYS CAME!!! And I am a proud Aunty of TWO!!!!

Also, School started again for us two days ago. And is as dreadful as I predicted, but at the same time it is a relief to be able to stimulate my mind with different and new things about this world. I enjoy learning and I especially love getting somewhere...In this case Graduation!

Ha ha can't wait! Although, I am so happy with life there are still moments I am tired of it and wish to be rid of the mundane and troublesome aspects that breathing and existing bring. Yes, these things can be dealt with and lost into a nothing as not to trouble one too much, but the process of trying to rid oneself of it can in itself can become exactly that, mundane and troublesome.

here comes the self realization:
I guess it is faith that the little things matter and do work all the time. Don't get bored of the basics! It is a knowledge of the basics and the action of such that help us succeed in our ever day!

Well, what does that mean for us?
You got it, study scriptures, pray sincerely, go to church, clean house, do homework, love your family and fiance, be kind, think of Christ always, eat chocolate (ha ha but of course this is important and basic!) and enjoy whatever comes. Like PC posted on her FB, "Come what may and LOVE IT!".

disclaimer: you are free to do these things, please do not think that you must. It would be nice if you did, but if you can't...well don't kill a brain cell over it. But if you choose not to....then you may want to figure it out and get to doing it because you are a better person when you do the things you know you're supposed to do!!

They came in the night

The night they came, Aunty Didi helped to keep Pesile, Mommy calm while Jordan, Daddy drove to Castle Hospital. The time went quickly and before anyof us could really say "baby!" both boys were born. 12:44 and 12:45am on the 8th of September, the world was blessed with two beautiful baby boys. Iolakona and Ikaika Kai. Both excited to greet the cold world and kicking out all their excitement to be here. Mommy did a beautiful job in ensuring their safe arrival and even though they were a tad too early and kinda complicated things...aiyah!!!they made it through their first day on earth. Daddy and Mommy are super excited for them and pray for them everyday.

On the first day, Mommy was at Castles Hospital and Daddy went to visit the boys. Iolakona and Ikaika were taken to Kapiolani's Children Hospital. They are too precious for a regular hospital, so they were taken to where the special doctors are. It was so cute for both Daddy and the boys. Then Daddy gave his first Daddy's blessing. Aunty Tati and Rhaize also went to see them. Uncle Mike went to visit them too.

On the second day Mommy got some rest and Daddy stayed with her to take care of her. Iolakona and Ikaika got their first visit from Aunty Bubble (Mabel). Yay to Aunty experiences. Aunty Sarah and Aunty Diana stayed with Mommy at the Castle hospital. Then on Saturday, Mommy got to see the boys for the first time since giving birth. before taking Mommy home to Kahuku, we took her to go see the boys. Iolakona and Ikaika got so excited their hearts raced a little too fast. They gave the doctors a little scare. Uncle Theo got to see them too. We got home and put Mommy to sleep. Then that night we went back to visit the boys, because Mom promised to bring them milk! hee hee Sunday morning we all tried to go to church and include them in all our prayers. We had a big family fast for the boys. So many people love the boys and it is amazing the amount of faith and love this little Kai Ohana felt. Sunday afternoon, Aunty Sarah, Didi and Uncle Jarell got to see baby for the first time! Jordan and Michael gave a second blessing.

It's been a crazy week and 1 day but I must say that these two boys are teaching their families so much about the eternities and the blessings of the temple.

Happy Birthday boys! Aunty Bubble loves you!
